In light of this months 2nd Annual HG Awareness day on the 15th,
I decided to take Phoenix off for sale & do a giveaway.

Eligibility, rules & regulations (lol)

Anyone who has added me to their watch on DA as of 5/8/2013 & before this message was sent out, is eligible to win.

You must submit a drawing of any kind, poem or anything you can think of that expresses HG or HG awareness.

If you don't know what HG is, you can find out more about it at helpHER.org  it's a website dedicated to HG awareness, research & education. HG stands for Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

Submissions must be made by May 20th 2013.

Winner must pay for shipping charges, shipping charges within the US are about $6.00 priority, but rates may be higher for NY, etc. & of course, other Countries.

The winner will be determined by Me, I will judge entries based on their creativity, not on skill so that everyone has an equal opportunity to win.

On a personal note:
I suffered from HG & I believe that every woman should she choose to have children, deserves to be able to bring them into the world without the suffering that goes beyond severe morning sickness.
Many women, for different reasons & under different circumstances, are forced to have abortions, which is called "Therapeutic Termination" for women who suffer from HG. It's one thing to have a miscarriage & another to have to end a pregnancy because you feel like you're dying every second of the day & there is no cure, no treatment & sometimes, no compassion even from the medical community.

Where would we be today if everyone that had cancer was treated the same way that women are treated today because of HG..?? Some women are told that they just need to try harder, eat crackers, drink ginger ale or take a Xanax cause it's all in their head.
A woman shouldn't have to suffer every second of their pregnancy & on top of that, deal with an uncaring & unsympathetic family, friends & doctors. The unsympathetic family & friends come from when the doctors give absolutely no credibility to this disease & attribute it to simple psychological problems or lack of strength.
Women with HG are not wimps, it takes a lot of strength & sacrifice to make it until the end.  No matter where you stand as far as family goes, the suffering of another human being, should not be ignored this way. Thank you for reading... ♥
